Social Activities
Why is a social programme important for you?
Because you can –
- Speak more English
- Meet English people
- Learn new things
- Laugh and have fun
- Relax! And feel good about yourself
- Make even more friends
- Challenge yourself
- Hear more English
We aim to give you every opportunity to use your time in Folkestone productively.
So every week you get…
two evenings a week of free in-school activities. These are designed to create fun and excitement with your friends. It is not only the activity that creates the fun but also how it is set up and who leads it. Our team of teachers and staff make sure you laugh all evening with competitions, quizzes and games and that every event is memorable.- one ‘pay as you go’ evening event. This could be a pop concert at the local theatre, a bowling trip to a local town, an evening ice skating or even a karaoke night at a pub.
- one ‘pay as you go’ full-day excursion. This could be to one of the many interesting destinations near Folkestone, such as London, Oxford, or Windsor.
“Pay as you go” means that you pay a small fee for the activity. We only ask you to pay to cover the cost of the activity – we do not make profit from you on this.
Please note that some activities depend on there being enough students who want to take part.
